Many hearts have been exhausted during this time of unrest and uncertainties. Whether its due to Covid, the Elections, Deaths or Loss of Employment, know that God can give you REST! Jesus sends an invitation to all of those who desires HIS rest, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matt. 11:28-29).
There are a number of passages in the bible where we find Jesus stopping to rest. When we think of rest, we often relate it to bodily fatigue. This rest I’m sharing with you today is for the soul and its deeply rooted and grounded in trusting in the Lord! “For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. (Heb. 4:10)
If you’re feeling burdened down today, especially during these times of unrest and uncertainties, I want to encourage you to give your yoke to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God is standing and waiting to give you true rest that goes deep into your souls and only he can give. “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Jer. 6:16)
God can refuel your soul today. God is waiting for you to quiet your hearts and spend time with HIM. There is truth in His Word! There is Peace in His Word! There is healing in His Word! There is Comfort in His Word! “My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. (Psalm 62:1-2)
Is your soul at rest today? Are your emotions at rest? God is waiting for your RSVP today. He promises in his Word that He will give you REST for your SOUL!
