God Will Elevate Your Voice

Have you ever felt like your voice is like a dimming candle stick? Whenever you try to speak, your voice tends to shrink to a soft whisper. Sometimes in our walk with Christ, our faith is not always like a roaring fire. There are times when it feels like a quiet candle that keeps burning in your darkest hour. But thanks be to God that HE hears our prayers, our doubts, our concerns and our fears. Isaiah 41:10, God says, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

In the mist of your whispering voice, trust is all you need to remind you that God is still with you. As Christians, we walk by faith, not by sight and if we are honest with ourselves, faith does not always feel bold or fearless. Ecclesiastes chapter three reminds us that, in every season, there is a time to speak and a time to be silent. There are seasons in our lives when our confidence feels weaker and the words we really want to say just never leave our lips.

So, if that is you today, know that God is still working behind the scenes, especially when life feels uncertain to you right now. God is with you even when you do not see the path ahead of you. I want to encourage someone today to trust in the One that sees your whole journey. Pray before you speak and let God’s Word stand on its own weight. Because God can turn your trembling voices to a confident one. So, keep your candle burning and protect it with prayer. Feed it with the Word of God daily.

Trust that the One who lit your flame when you gave your life to Christ, can and will sustain it. God will respond to the hearts that trust in HIM…even when that trust is through a whispering voice and a tiny flame.
